On January 27, 1606 the trial of Guy Fawkes and others involved in the “Gunpowder Plot” to assassinate English King James I began.
On January 30, 1972, Bloody Sunday: 13 unarmed protesters are killed by British Soldiers in Londonderry, Norther Ireland.
On January 31, 1606 Guy Fawkes was executed for his role in the “Gunpowder Plot” to assassinate English King James I.
On January 31, 1865 Congress approved the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery; ratification began.
