On November 24, 1947 the House of Representatives approved a contempt citation against the “Hollywood Ten” for refusing to cooperate with the House Un-American Activities Committee. Artists were barred from work on the basis of their alleged membership in or sympathy with the American Communist Party.
On November 24, 1963 Lee Harvey Oswald, alleged assassin of John F. Kennedy, was shot by Jack Ruby, at Dallas police headquarters, on live television.
On November 27, Happy Thanksgiving!
On November 27, 1770 John Adams defended British Soldiers in the Boston Massacre trial.
