On March 24, 1765 Britain passed the Quartering Act, requiring the American Colonies to house British troops.
On March 28, 1834 the Senate censured President Andrew Jackson. After a ten-week debate, the Senate voted 26 to 20 to censure the president for assuming power not conferred by the Constitution.
