On October 19, 1982 John DeLorean was arrested on drug trafficking and money laundering charges; a federal jury later found he was entrapped and he was acquitted on all charges.
On October 20, 1973 the “Saturday Night Massacre”-President Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliot Richardson to fire Watergate prosecutor Archibald Cox; Richardson and DAG William Ruckelhaus resigned in protest.
On October 24, 2005 Rosa Parks, civil rights activist, died at 92.
