On June 19, 1953, convicted atom spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed in Ossining, New York.
On June 22, 1977, John Mitchell became the first former U.S. Attorney General to go to federal prison.
On June 23, 1992, crime boss John Gotti, the so-called “teflon don,” was sentenced to life in prison in New York.
