On February 1, 1790, the first session of the U.S. Supreme Court convened.
On February 3, 1870, the 15th Amendment, voting rights, was ratified.
On February 3, 1913, the 16th Amendment, allowing the income tax, was ratified.
On February 4, 1789, George Washington was elected our first president.
On February 4, 1974, Patty Hearst was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army in Berkeley, California.
On February 4, 1997 a civil jury found O.J. Simpson liable for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
